Chairman of the Trust
Andrew Whittingham-Jones is a retired solicitor and wrote the Trust’s constitution in consultation with the late Mr. Henry Bicket, along with its other legal documentation. Andrew is a Past Commodore of Royal Mersey Yacht Club. He has sailed all his life, starting in dinghies as a young boy. He has raced keelboats on the River Mersey since the age of 19 years. He has also cruised extensively on his own yacht as well as a friend’s yacht both abroad and in home waters, mainly on the west coast of Scotland and the Inner and Outer Hebrides.
Along with David Massey and Simon Shepard he is one of the three initially approved skippers.
Andrew has been very active within the Trust for a most of its existence, being Hon. Legal Advisor, a member of the maintenance team, member of the management committee and at the start of 2017 appointed Trustee and Chairman of the Trust.
